Closing in on 500 signatures!

My friends, I want to thank each and every one of you for your support of my efforts to reintroduce ultralight training to our sport. We are closing in on 500 signatures which, while not as many as I had hoped, represents a tremendous milestone as we demonstrate urgency and support for this initiative.
This afternoon I will be speaking with Jack Pelton and the staff at EAA in my ongoing efforts to gain their support to get a conversation started with the FAA. I truly believe the support of a large aviation organization like the EAA is instrumental to the success of our efforts, and I trust in their commitment to ultralight aviation.
Likewise, I have spoken to the leadership of the National Association of Flight Instructors, and they have also indicated their support for the work we're doing. Flight instruction benefits everyone by improving safety, flight awareness, and creating good neighbors among our fellow pilots in the GA community (who can view ultralights in less-than-favorable terms). I hope to present to the NAFI attendees at AirVenture 2024 this summer, and while I expect to get contentious feedback from this fine group of professional instructors, I believe their input and support will be helpful as we move this initiative forward.
Once again I want to say thank you for your support, and I ask that you provide a bit more support by continuing to spread the word to your friends and associates and encourage them to sign this petition. Together we can make a difference and prove to the FAA and our fellow aviators that ultralights are a beneficial and worthy part of the aviation experience in America.
Blessings and fair winds,
Jim Pfarr
