Please come join us in a discussion & planning to form a 391 here in Paris that will represent ALL of Lamar County. This is not a political meeting or agenda! This is solely about the education, awareness AND safety about BESS and other projects that can/are detrimental for Our Citizens of Lamar County.
Forming a 391 means we are creating a sub-regional planning commission under Texas Local Government Code Chapter 391. These commissions allow local governments (counties, municipalities, etc.) within the same Council of Government (COG) or region to collaborate on planning and development. The primary purpose is to address issues that affect the region jointly and to develop plans and policies.
