Without full attention and thought the councillor responded to my email today, to say it was a kick in the teeth not to at least have her agree to go and look in more detail, is an understatement. No agreement to meet with me or to look into this on more detail just a flat refusal to do anything. I've threatened that failure to consider this reasonable request is a breach of law and that residents did not agree to what was delivered. The road hump should be similar to the coop road with long drawn out edges so that it is accessible. To dismiss that my vehicle can't access that road now is disgraceful!
"Thank you for your email. I am very sorry to hear that you have been having difficulties with the speed hump that has been installed in Churchill.
The traffic calming measures have been installed at the request of Churchill Parish Council and conform to the usual standards. There was a formal consultation which concluded in March 2025, which was online and available to all residents, not just those in Churchill, to provide their views, and was in addition to any public meetings held in the village. The purpose of the plan is to reduce the speed of traffic entering the village, and the speed of traffic coming along the Chipping Norton Road will have been the reason for installing the hump.
I an very sorry that I cannot help you with this, as I cannot reverse this decision, which was taken following the proper process and with full consultation
Best regards
Liz
