Urge TBN to add Yippee TV's 24-hour live stream on it's O&O subchannels.
The Issue
I was deeply saddened when Smile, the beloved children's network, was closed on January 12, 2025. It was a station that provided wholesome entertainment and a safe haven for families, delivering content that truly aligned with our values and priorities. Promos announcing its closure began airing in December 2024, and I shared this bitter news with many families who loved the channel as much as I did. The void left by Smile was keenly felt in many households, mine included.
Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) has since moved Smile's programming to Yippee TV, its Christian children's streaming service that originally launched on December 4, 2019. While Yippee TV continues to deliver the same quality content, its availability is currently limited to online streaming, leaving behind a large audience who relied on traditional TV methods, especially stations owned and operated by TBN.
Tragically, after Smile's exit, these channel spaces were leased to OnTV4U, an infomercial-only network that fails to bring the same joy and educational value to our children. It's disheartening to see valuable broadcast spectrum occupied by a network that prioritizes revenue over enriching young minds.
I believe TBN should consider replacing OnTV4U with a 24-hour live stream of Yippee TV on its owned and operated (O&O) stations, specifically on channel x.4. This change not only honors Smile's legacy but continues to uphold the network's mission of faith-based and uplifting content accessible to everyone, regardless of their technological means.
Launching a 24-hour live stream for Yippee TV would reconnect families who cherished Smile's shows, allowing them to once again access high-quality, faith-centered content right in their living rooms. Moreover, expanding Yippee TV's reach this way can engage a wider audience, fostering a sense of community among viewers who share similar values and are looking to pass these on to the next generation.
Trinity Broadcasting Network's O&O and Community Educational Television's station subchannels:
x.1: TBN – flagship network
x.2: Merit TV – news discussion, talk shows, and true crime; joint venture with Phil McGraw
x.3: TBN Inspire – programming similar to TBN's, but focused more on church services
x.4: Yippee TV – children's programming
x.5: Positiv – Christian and family-friendly films; network owned by TBN
To Trinity Broadcasting Network, I urge you to listen to the voices of your dedicated viewers. Bring back the joy and morality that Smile once brought into our homes by introducing a 24-hour live stream of Yippee TV. Let's ensure that quality children's programming remains accessible to the multitude of families who depend on TBN for trusted content.
Please sign this petition to show your support for bringing Yippee TV's 24-hour live stream to channel x.4 on TBN's O&O stations. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our children and our communities. Let's transform airwaves currently occupied by infomercials into a vehicle for positive, enriching children's programming once again.
