Residents of the Allegheny Valley will be gathering at the Springdale Borough Building on March 17th at 5pm to protest the 287(g) agreement Springdale Police have signed with ICE which resulted in the detainment of Springdale Borough Resident, Randy Cordova Flores. A press conference will be held with Allegheny Council member Bethany Hallam to speak out against this agreement which was signed without the required council votes to approve it. Members of the community will be present with “No ICE” and “Love Thy Neighbor” signs to show solidarity for the community where the agreement with ICE threatens to destroy the safe and peaceful atmosphere they have built.
