Last year, the Miami-Dade County School Board voted AGAINST an item to recognize October as LGBTQ+ History Month. This week, we're coming back to change their minds.

On Wednesday, Sept. 11th, the Miami-Dade School Board is once again considering H-10, a resolution to officially recognize October as LGBTQ+ History Month. We need to make sure that THIS year, we’re the loudest voices in this fight.

But we need your help, and fast. If we don't show up, Moms for Liberty and their friends will drown out our joy and calls for a safe and inclusive Miami-Dade. Join us by:

• Writing a letter: We've set up a letter-writing campaign through ActionNetwork. Using this super easy tool, you'll receive a template email that automatically sends out to every school board member.
• Showing up: To sign up to speak at the September 11th school board meeting, folks should complete a speaker form for item H-10 and email it to Request4Appearance@Dadeschools.net no later than Monday, September 10th at 4:30pm. You can also fill out a form in person on the day of the meeting.
• Let us know you're coming: We encourage individuals to RSVP to stay updated on speaker training sessions and other information leading up to the school board meeting. This will not add them to the speaker list.
• Attend our speaker training: TONIGHT at 6:30pm. You can sign up here.
