The Maryland General Assembly needs to hear from students, parents, and advocates who believe in equal educational opportunity. Follow the steps below to submit your testimony before the deadline.

 
How to Submit Testimony
To submit written or oral testimony, you must use the Maryland General Assembly (MGA) website. 

Create a MyMGA Account: Visit mgaleg.maryland.gov and click the "MyMGA" icon in the top right corner to register. 

Access Witness Signup: Once logged in, select "Witness Signup" from the MyMGA menu.
Find the Bill: Locate HB 649 under the Government, Labor, and Elections Committee.
State Your Position: Select "Favorable" to show your support for the legislation.

Choose Testimony Type: Indicate if you are providing Written, In-Person Oral, or Virtual Oral (via Zoom) testimony.

Upload Your PDF: If submitting written testimony, it must be in PDF format. Ensure the bill number and your name are clearly visible at the top.

Save Your Entry: You must click the "Save" button at the top of the page, or your testimony will not be recorded.
