Fellow fans, this is our chance to demand the truth and fairness we deserve! Spike Chunsoft has recently released a survey (linked below), and we must seize this opportunity to rally for the release of the original 2002 version of Ever17: The Out of Infinity, written by Kotaro Uchikoshi and Takumi Nakazawa, instead of the 2011 remake they currently plan to include in the Never7/Ever17 Double Pack.
Why This Matters
Spike Chunsoft is misleading fans and consumers by associating the remake with Kotaro Uchikoshi’s name. While the upcoming Never7 remaster preserves the original game’s integrity, the Ever17 version they’re releasing is the 2011 remake, which:
• Was not written or created by Uchikoshi or Nakazawa.
• Significantly alters the original story, tone, and intent of the 2002 masterpiece.
This is false marketing and unfair to both Uchikoshi and the fans who have supported this franchise for decades. Consumers deserve transparency, and Uchikoshi deserves recognition for his original work—not to have his name misleadingly tied to a version he had no hand in creating.
