An update has been issued by the headteacher this evening (21.04.24) - please see image above.
This new commitment to a vote on whether to change the uniform is welcome news, and marks a significant change in content/tone from the information in the letter dated 19.04.24, along with the messaging reportedly shared with pupils the same day, that a change would be made, and that the consultation was being held on the new colours for the changed uniform.
This petition will stay open for people to register their objections and feedback (which will be shared with the school, in full, at the end of the consultation period), as the issues raised here are much wider than whether parents prefer red or grey as a colour, or indeed a change of uniform at all, but relate to the way in which this process has been conducted, including how the 'consultation' was presented to us all as parents/carers and the explanation of this change that was shared with our children at the school.
Please continue to share with others who may share these concerns and to submit detailed feedback to the school on this matter to kellslane@klps.org.uk marked 'Uniform Consultation'.
This petition hit 100 signatures this evening having been open for around 8 hours.
