Despite hitting 800+ signatures, HMH has decided to ignore us and ignore what is best for students around the world. I received confirmation today that they are moving forward with their plans to discontinue classic Classcraft and their new platform will not be available to individual teachers. They promise the possibility of exciting new features that may or may not come out some day, but with no published roadmap, there is no guarantee we will ever see anything that engages our students like Classcraft. At the end of the year, I always ask students what their favorite parts of my class were. This year, like many before, Classcraft was by far the most popular answer. 

HMH is purposely killing a successful program that has helped so many students. I know that I have 20+ years in education left as many of you do as well.  My plan is to be on every adoption committee I can in that time to remind my colleagues and fellow educators in surrounding districts that HMH only cares for their bottom line and does not care or support the students. I urge each and every one of you to do the same. 

It is with a heavy heart that I end this quest.
