I had a meeting with Aaron Paquette and his assistant Kevin. he had invited I believe a project manager, but they did not bother showing up to the meeting.  I was able to show pictures of some of the issues we’ve had and I’m very disappointed in the city council and their decision-making.

I don’t want to speak for Arron but he saw the road. He understands some of the issues and is going to take them and have what he can addressed. Including getting part of a sidewalk repaired that people keep falling on hopefully before winter fingers crossed.

I have to say my attitude has changed a little bit in regards to who to be frustrated with in regard to the projects. The safe mobility team  are the one who installed this mess on the recommendation of the Transportation association of Cananada ( TAC). I will see if I can attach them to the petition. I will keep city of Edmonton attached to the petition.

last night, Aaron Paquette’s assistant, Kevin came to drop off some papers for me to read. I will say the man works long hours.
I posted a picture above with some of the information.

I think it’s important to note between 2018 and 2022. There have been 128 accidents that is a lot But only 11 crashes involved, pedestrian or cyclist.

I see following too close as a serious concern and a main cause of these accidents. And now that we have these lanes in people are following extremely close and there’s no way to get away from it. Also I’m not sure why they would move vehicles closer to moving traffic when one of the issues is parked vehicles getting hit.

When I read all the paperwork, what I see is we need more policing. We need boots on the ground of people out monitoring the streets fining people who follow too close. Because the problem I see now is people follow extremely close and you have no way to evade them. You can not simply pull over and let them go by so I feel this has exacerbated the situation.

I will continue to update on the situation thank you all so much for signing my petition. Please continue to share if everybody could go out and get A few people to sign I think we’d have a much better chance of succeeding. In the meantime I added the two contributors to this issue. Feel free to contact them with your complaints.
