Fellow Dartmouth alumni, Alumni Council leadership sent the following letter to President Sian Beilock on Friday, May 2, and shared it with the rest of the Council today, Monday, May 5.
It states that President Beilock's recent communication "has sparked passionate discourse among alumni and prompted an unprecedented level of feedback to the Alumni Liaison Committee (ALC). The volume and intensity of this response warrant our direct communication to you outside of our usual process."
The letter further states "While we know there is support for the administration’s current approach, the responses expressing that sentiment represent only 3-4% of the 650+ submissions. The overwhelming majority (96%) reflect deep frustration and disappointment." It then goes on to describe the main areas of frustration and disappointment.

There is still time to provide comments to the Alumni Council via the Link below: https://lnkd.in/gR3g76fB
We have urged them to make a formal statement asking President Beilock to take a stronger stand, including signing the AACU letter.
And our petition is still welcoming signers: https://chng.it/Xz8rcnKGkH
