These past couple of weeks have been very difficult for some, but now that everything is up and running, it is time to get more signatures, share your stories, and expand our influence to bring the D214 community back together!

Recently, I've been made aware of more examples of how these new policies affect students not only socially, but financially:

  • A group of students from Prospect High School came over to Hersey High School to watch the football game with their friends who attend Hersey. They stood in line, paid for their tickets, just to be turned away for not being Hersey students.
  • Another recent story that I've been made aware of involved a group of friends from Buffalo Grove High School who came to Wheeling to also watch the game with their friends who attend Wheeling. They also stood in line, paid for their tickets, and were kicked out because they weren't Wheeling students.

According to the people involved in both stories, no refunds were issued, resulting in students losing their money as a result of these divisive policies.

Every story and every signature counts. Continue sharing and getting those signatures. If you have any stories to share, consider leaving a comment too to show how these policies have personally affected you. Together, we can take back our football games!
