I sent a follow up email to AG Tong regarding this petition.

While I understand the HHS has walked back the federal registry, I personally don't trust this assurance. First, they plan on creating an open registry with already available data. However, we still don't know the scope and nature of all the data Elon Musk and DOGE have illegally collected, nor if any of it is included in this "already available" data. Second, and combined with the recent breach of Powerschool, it's possible the administration already has a great deal of information at their fingertips. 

As such, I am also following up with our State legislature to enact laws that protect our personal data on the State level and provide some precedent and backing for refusing Federal demands.
