Hey it's Andy's moma. I haven't posted an update in a while but this one is VERY important!
The Mecklenburg County District Attorneys Office have made a plea bargain to the defendant who we completely believe killed my son Andy. They offered 17 months active sentence & he's already been in jail 11 months so he would serve about 5 to 6 more months then be turned loose on the street to God forbid, do this to someone else.
They have more than sufficient evidence to convict on all charges but want a conviction on a separate charge of burglary that he'd get probation on so they're willing to dismiss all charges in Andy's case except failure to report death. 5 to 6 months. For my sons life.
One judge rejected the plea bargain but DA's office said they'll offer same plea in front of a different judge.
My dear friend and advocate for Andy has created a new petition to present to the judge to ask for full prosecution & no plea bargain.
PLEASE go to that petition & sign it! We need your help to stop more injustice being done to Andy.
I appreciate each & everyone of you & hope to see everyone's s signature on the new petition asking for full prosecution. No plea bargains!
