Attention Merritt Island residents:

We need to be vocal. The zoning board recently tied AGAIN on the proposed rezoning, despite the presentation of even more data regarding traffic concerns and the strain on our local grounds.

The Board of County Commissioners needs to hear from us before the meeting on April 2nd - Viera Government Center at 5pm. 

To be clear, this is not about a lack of welcome for new residents. It is about the location and the infrastructure. If the island doesn’t think this fits our current landscape and road capacity, we must speak up before it is too late.

Please reach out to the board and share your thoughts on why this location is the wrong choice for this development.
