Petition updateUrge ACAMS to reconsider the significant price hike for CAMS recertificationUPDATE: Some good news regarding recertification prior to 2021

Dear Supporters,

Despite having contacted ACAMS prior to making this petition to confirm the new policy details, upon contacting them again this week it appears that there are some nuanced details that are worthy of note:

The 2 free credits a year will only apply after 2021.  So if you do the webinars before 1st January 2021, you can do as many as you want for free, as was the case in the previous policy.  So for those recertifying in 2021/23, it would be worth trying to get all these credits (assuming you wish to avoid cost)  before year end 2020 even if you are recertifying in one of the later years.

Another tip from the helpful ACAMS representative was that the local chapter events are the most inexpensive way to gain credits.

For those taking CGSS:

This will count 16 credits towards ACAMS recertification

Also, CGSS will require recertification every 3 years and it appears that it will require 30 credits too.  It is unclear whether webinars/seminars/events can be double counted towards each of the CAMS/CGSS (hopefully, Yes!), but it will be clarified when the handbook is released.

Hopefully this offers some respite for members at least for their upcoming recertification.
