Ethiopia's Media Blackout: A Nation's Cry for Help Amidst Crisis"

As Ethiopia faces a deepening crisis, the plight of the Amhara people has taken a devastating turn, with their lives and voices under siege. Since March 2023, the Amhara community has been targeted by political groups, causing immense suffering and upheaval. Adding to this turmoil is the alleged involvement of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF), accused of committing crimes against humanity and even acts of genocide against the Amhara population.

In the midst of these grave events, the importance of media in shining a light on atrocities and giving voice to the voiceless cannot be understated. However, the very channels that could have highlighted these atrocities and provided a platform for truth have faced an alarming crackdown.

Ethio 360 Media, Addis Dimts Multi Media, Baro Tube, and others, which have been vital alternative voices for marginalized communities, have found themselves silenced at a critical juncture. YouTube's decision to block these platforms has further exacerbated the media blackout, preventing stories of suffering and struggle from reaching the international community. This censorship not only restricts the freedom of expression but also hinders the world's understanding of the depth of the crisis unfolding in Ethiopia.

The voices of the Amhara people, whose stories need to be heard more than ever, are being suppressed. The importance of these alternative media outlets in raising awareness about the crisis, sharing the testimonies of survivors, and providing an avenue for critical discourse cannot be overstated. ኢትዮጲያ ዛሬ በፋሺስታዊው የኦሮሙማ ቡድን ከአንዱ የእርሰበርስ ጦርነት ወደ አንዱ እየተሸጋገረ ሀገሪቱ በጦርነት አበላ ውላፈን እየተለበለበች ያለች ሀገር ነች።

በተለይ አማራው ከባለፈው መጋቢት 15 ቀን 2015 ጀምሮ መጠነ ሰፊ በሆነ መንግስታዊ የጭፍጨፋ ጦርነት ታውጆበት ያለ ሕዝብ ነው። ስርዓቱ በዚህ ወሳኝ ወቅት መገናኛ ብዙሃኑን አፍኖና አግዶ የስልክ የኢንተርኔት አገልግሎትን ዘግቶ መጠነ ሰፊ የጭፍጨፋ ዘመቻን እያካሄደ ባለበት ወቅት ለሕዝባችንና ለዓለም እውነታውን የሚያሳውቁትን ሚዲያዎች ከሳተላይት በማውረድ ከዩቲውብ በማሳገድ ጭፍጨፋውን እያጧጧፈ ይገኛል።

ለአብነት ያህል ኢትዮ360 ሚዲያ በዚህ አጭር ግዜ ውስጥ ብቻ 12 ግዜ ተዘግታል። አዲስ ድምጽ ባሮ ቲውብና ከስድስት ግዜ በላይ ተዘግተዋል።

ጋሻ ሚዲያ ባደረገው ጥናት  ፋሺስታዊው የኦሮሙማው ስርዓት በአማራ ላይ የከፈተውን ጦርነት ከሕዝብ ጆሮና እይታ ለመደበቅ በሚል ጽኑ እምነት ለጦርነቱ ሽፋን ይሰጣሉ ብሎ ለይቶና መርጦ ኢላማ ያደረጋቸውን ሚዲያዎች ስርጭታቸውን የሚያፍን በሶል ቴክ  (ሰለሞን ካሳ የአቢይ የቅርብ ጔደኛ) የሚመራ  አፋኝ ግብረ ኋይል በማቌቌም  ለዩቲውብ ድርጅት እጅግ ብዛት ባለው ግብረ ኋይሉ በመጠቀም 7/24ሰዓት ሪፖሪት በማድረግ ኢትዮ 360 ሚዲያ አዲስ ድምጽ ቲቪና ራዲዮ ባሮ ቲውብና መሰል የሆኑ በርካታ ሚዲያዎችን ስርጭት ማገድ መቻሉን ማረጋገጥ ችለናል።

ይህንን ዓይነቱን ፋሺስታዊ እቅድና ፕላን ለማገድ ስርዓቱ ግብረ ኋይል አቌቁሞ ሌት ተቀን ሲሰራ በእኛ በኩል ደግሞ የሚዲያ ተቌሟቱን አገልግሎት አስፈላጊና ጠቃሚነትን በመግለጽ የተዘጉ እንዲከፈቱና ዳግመኛም እንዳይታገዱ የሚያደርግ የአጸፋ ስራ መስራት ይጠበቅብናል በሚል እምነት ይህንን ፔቲሽን ለመክፈት ችለናል።

የፔቲሽኑ ዋና ዓላማ ፋሺስታዊው ስርዓት ሚዲያዎቹን ሲያዘጋ እኛ ማስከፈትና ብሎም እንዳይዘጉ  የሚያደርግን ስራ መስራት በመሆኑ የእያንዳንዳችሁ ተሳትፎና አስተዋጾኦ ከፍተኛ መሆኑን አውቃችሁ ፔቲሽኑን በመፈረም በማሰራጨትና ሌሎች ያላወቁት እንዲያውቁ በማድረግ እንድትተባበሩ በድጋሚ በአክብሮት ጋብዘናል።

ፔቲሽኑን ከከፈትን ዛሬ ሁለተኛ ቀኑ ሲሆን እስከሁን ወደ አንድሺህ የሚጠጉ መፈረም መቻላቸውን በምስግና እየገለጽን የፈራሚዎች ብዛት ይበልጥ በጨመረና በበዛ መጠን ለዩቲውብ ድርጅትና ለአሜሪካን መንግስት የማህበራዊ ትሥስር ገጾች ኮሚሽን ጽ/ቤት ለምናስገባው ጥያቄ  ምላሽ የሚያሰጥ መሆኑን አውቃችሁ ይበልጥ እንድትረባረቡ በአክብሮት ስንጋብዝ ለምታደርጉት ተሳትፎና አስተዋጾኦ ልባዊ ምስጋናችንን በማቅረብ ነው።
