The Fight for NSR Hire Ballpark Upgrades Continues

Hi everyone,

BIG NEWS — ONE YEAR ON, WE HAVEN’T FORGOTTEN.

It has now been around a year since we launched the petition calling for a major upgrade to NSR Hire Ballpark and a bigger future for baseball in Western Australia.

First, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has signed, shared and supported the campaign so far. Every signature has helped show that there is a passionate baseball community in WA that wants to see NSR Hire Ballpark reach its full potential.

⚾ So, what's happened?
Over the past year, baseball has continued to grow, and NSR Hire Ballpark remains an important home for Perth Heat, Baseball WA, school competitions and the wider baseball community.

There have also been developments around the wider Tom Bateman Reserve site, including continued work and discussion between Baseball WA and the City, as well as growing interest in preserving and celebrating the history of baseball at the venue.

But there is one important thing to recognise:

The major redevelopment we originally called for still hasn't happened.

There has been no major transformation of NSR Hire Ballpark into the modern, multi-use, world-class venue that Western Australian baseball deserves.

And that's exactly why this campaign is still important.

🎥 But something BIG is happening...
Over the past several months, a documentary has begun filming surrounding Perth Heat and its history with NSR Hire Ballpark.

We don't want to reveal too much just yet, but we're incredibly excited about what is coming.

This documentary will help tell the story of the venue, the people who have made it what it is, and why this place matters so much to baseball in Western Australia.

Don't think we've forgotten. Big things are coming.

We're preparing another major update for the coming months, so stay tuned.

🚨 The fight is still ongoing
Our vision remains the same:

Short term: Build public and community support and show the government that there is genuine demand for investment in NSR Hire Ballpark.

Medium term: Develop NSR Hire Ballpark into a modern, multi-use venue capable of supporting local clubs, school competitions, Perth Heat, national events and major baseball opportunities.

Long term: Create a world-class baseball destination capable of attracting major international events, increasing tourism and giving baseball in Australia a true home.

We believe Western Australia has the opportunity to build something special.

NSR Hire Ballpark has the history.

Perth has the baseball community.

Now we need the investment to match it.

📢 Please keep supporting the campaign
Until our next major update, please continue to sign and share the petition with your friends, family, teammates and anyone who cares about the future of baseball in WA.

The campaign is still alive.

The fight is still ongoing.

Thank you for standing with us.
