Katoomba Court Park holds a special place in the hearts of our community. For many, it is where children take their first steps onto a playground, families gather for picnics, and friends meet at the start of a scenic hike. However, the park's facilities have not aged gracefully, leaving much to be desired for both regular visitors and newcomers.

While these may suffice for a quick play session, they do not meet the developmental or recreational needs of our growing community. Families often travel further afield to reach parks with more comprehensive amenities, which feels like a shame given the potential of Katoomba Court Park to become a well-rounded community hub.

The decline in usage and the lack of maintenance have led to fears that Katoomba Court Park might slowly degrade unless action is taken soon. A breakdown or further wear and tear on the limited equipment could render the playground inadequate for community use, leading to even fewer visits and greater neglect.
