The Issue

“Roommates, Not Soulmates”

Back on the 3DS, seeing your married Miis share one big room and actually sleep in the same bed was peak cozy gameplay. It genuinely made you feel like you built a life for them.

Now? They get completely separate rooms. They look less like a happily married couple and more like awkward college roommates who just started dating a week ago and are too shy to even hold hands yet (IYKYK). It completely ruins the immersion and strips away that heartwarming, "living the dream" magic we loved.

The Fix: Bring Back the Double Bed!

Look, we don't need a total game overhaul, just let us merge their spaces. Here is how Nintendo could easily patch this:

Shared Spaces: Give us an option to merge two rooms together so married Miis can finally share a single bed.

Keep it Simple: Honestly, the outside of the house doesn't even need to change if that's too much work.

Customization: Let the wallpaper/room style mechanic work similarly to the living room setup in Living the Dream so we can actually design a cool shared aesthetic.

Functional Mechanics: One side of the room can still be tied to a specific Mii (matching their exterior roof color) so player requests and interactions don't break.

Nintendo is usually legendary for paying attention to the little details players actually care about, so let's make some noise and get this feature back.

If you're sick of your Miis giving those “casually sharing rent at college” vibes, drop a signature on this petition and help us fix virtual marriage. What was the most tragic mismatch your Miis ever had in the 3DS days?
