I am declaring victory after the first few days of the new route to the Union, which allows for the DP bus to be very accessible to students coming out of their classes and provides a convenient central location to use buses. Furthermore, the new bus stop at EB Hickory @ Ave B is only 200 feet away from the old GAB stop, so riders that are used to the GAB stop should not be affected by these changes. A big thank you to UNT Transportation Services' Christopher Phelps (Director of Transit Operations) for working with our concerns. He also added weekend and night service to the DP bus route! Now, if they could only fix parking! But, progress is slow, and we should be proud of the progress we made. Last but certainly not the least, thank YOU supporters for all of your help. You showed UNT Transportation Services our real needs and for that I am truly touched. I'll let you know if there are any other issues that might pop up. Enjoy your ride :)
