The UN has been told by the Government Accountability Project and Congressional staff that to evict Inner City Press would be retaliation for reporting - but Ban Ki-moon and his Cristina Gallach don't care. https://youtu.be/8Gd3CRSa1yw At 1:30 am the day of the eviction, they limited the Press' ability to document the seizure of its files. US Ambassador Samantha Power was told, did nothing. Other countries' Permanent Representatives spoke to Ban's chief of staff Mulet, and to Gallach, and were lied to. This is what Ban's UN has become. Inner City Press, harassed for eight weeks, will be here. Here are contacts: Ban's chief of staff Edmond Mulet: mulet@un.org 212-963-8922, Deputy Secretary General Jan Eliasson: 212-963-8010, Patrick Carey, deputy chief of staff, phone 917-367-3340. next update on this petition will have to wait 24 hours. See InnerCityPress.com, and @InnerCityPress on Twitter. Thank you. recieved before this update: From: Tal Mekel Date: Sat, Apr 16, 2016 at 1:30 AM Subject: Saturday access To: matthew.lee [at] innercitypress.com Dear Matthew, Access on Saturday is 'exceptional' in nature (as Green Ps do not have access to UNHQ on weekends save for an official event being convened e/g. emergency SC meeting) and is solely for the purpose of over sighting the removal of your belongings. You may bring with you one (1) individual, again on a exceptional basis.
