In September 2022, we received a report commissioned by the TCDSB. The investigation took place when school was not in session. If temperatures are this high when the school is empty, imagine what it's like when 30 children are crammed into a classroom. We need to keep sharing this petition and inform everyone about what's happening in our schools. This is not just a June issue; our children are facing these conditions from May to October.
Raising awareness is crucial. It's not only about comfort but about the well-being and safety of our children. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can lead to heat exhaustion, dehydration, and other health issues. We must demand immediate action to address this problem. Our goal is to ensure that all schools are equipped with adequate cooling systems and ventilation to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.
Let's mobilize our community, reach out to local representatives, and advocate for necessary changes. Share your stories with us and use social media to amplify our message. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our children's educational experience is not compromised by extreme temperatures. This is a pressing issue that requires our collective effort and unwavering commitment.
