This petition is directed towards UNLV to give students the option to have pass/fail grades on their transcript for the spring semester as of right now. As students we did not pay tuition for an online education nor did we ask for this. Not everyone has access to all the materials to succeed in online classes. We have enough mental stress with a global pandemic occurring and we do not need the added stress of online classes to weigh us down. UNLV needs to understand that this last minute switch will cause a negative affect on our grades and well being throughout the duration of the pandemic. Having a pass/fail grading system will take a lot of stress off of most students shoulders.
