Hi everyone, 

I am ecstatic to finally be able to say this -- UW has officially updated their policy regarding names on diplomas! Now, all graduates can have their accurate name reflected on their diploma.

The change first happened with summer 2021 graduates and is now official for ALL graduates. 

Helen Garrett, the UW Registrar, shares: "Each quarter, as students are graduating and we are preparing to order their diplomas, we will send them a form to complete to give us their chosen diploma name and diploma mailing address."

If you previously graduated from UW and need to order a replacement diploma with the correct name on it, you can do so via this link (https://registrar.washington.edu/students/graduation-diplomas).
