£840 financial reimbursements per student affected by staff strikes at Reading University.
0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!
We would like the University of Reading to reimburse all students for teaching time lost due to the planned strikes, or for the University to work with UUK and UCU to arrive at an amicable solution to the ‘pension pot problem’ that the staff are planning to strike about, before the strikes take place.
If we are denied our education, we feel that we should be fully reimbursed by the university.
Each student stands to lose £300 of tuition fees per week. UCU has proposed 14 days of strikes, equating to a total of £840 per student (based on £9000 per year tuition fees). With approximately 17000 students enrolled across all University of Reading campuses (including the Malaysia campus), this would equate to the university paying out £14 280 000 in reimbursement to students.
