On Monday, August 30th 2016, SRC-member Luvuyo Menziwa declared on social media that he hated white people and that someone should bring him an AK47 or Bazooka so he may kill these 'demon possed (sic) humans'.

He gave five reasons why he hated white people, namely:

• White previllage
• White dominance
• White arrogance
• White monopoly capital
• White superiority

He then rounded this off by saying 'F*** WHITE PEOPLE'

When questioned about this statement, he confirmed that he had given this matter a considerable amount of thought before publishing it.

On Tuesday, 30 August, Luvuyo Menziwa was found guilty of hatespeech and was suspended from the Student Council. He is, however, still attending the University of Pretoria and many students are living in fear because of this. It is in the light of this that we request of the University of Pretoria to expel Luvuyo Menziwa permanently, so that students may return to a campus where they do not fear for their lives and to a university that will not tolerate hatespeech and injustice directed against its students.

The time for racism is over and the University of Pretoria needs to react to the cries of the oppressed.
