Increase exchange rate of meal swipes to dining dollars

Increase exchange rate of meal swipes to dining dollars
The Issue
The University of Pennsylvania has forced students, on top of the incredibly high tuition, to pay for a meal plan freshman year. This meal plan costs $5,249.00 and after the math is done, one swipe into the dining costs anywhere between $10.10 and $16.48. Because many students have not been able to allocate swipes and dollars effectively, the school has allowed students to convert anywhere between 1 to 30 meal swipes into Dining Dollar$ at the exchange rate for $4.87 per swipe. This is simply robbery of students. Why should students be forced into this when they can get better food at any food cart on the street for five bucks? We ask that the University of Pennsylvania changes the exchange rate for swipes to something more reasonable. At the very least, $8 per swipe.
