Wow! After just one week our petition has gained over 85,000 signatures - THANK YOU!!! I am so inspired by this huge wave of support and more motivated than ever to ensure my university takes a strong stance against animal cruelty by divesting from Roark Capital! Let’s build off of this tremendous momentum and take a few quick actions to end our first week strong! 1) Comment on the University of Michigan’s Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UniversityOfMichigan/ Use one of the examples below, or write your own and comment on the latest post. Please listen to the concerns of the thousands of people urging U Mich to divest from Roark’s cruelty! 2) Call the office for the University of Michigan’s Endowment Fund. Call: 734-763-4163 Say, something like: (please leave a message if no one answers) Option #1: It’s unacceptable that the University of Michigan invests its endowment in Roark Capital, a company involved in an animal cruelty scandal. I’m urging U Mich to take a strong stance against animal abuse and divest from Roark immediately! Option #2: It’s really disappointing to learn that the University of Michigan invests in Roark Capital. Please send a clear message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated at the University of Michigan by divesting from Roark.
