Cancel UofL Classes Wednesday January 30, 2019

The Issue

This Wednesday, 75% of the country is set to have below freezing temperatures. Louisville, Kentucky will see extremely low temperatures on Wednesday with wind chills ranging between -20 to -30 degrees Fahrenheit. These weather conditions are extremely unsafe for both students and faculty members on the University of Louisville campus. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Louisville, Kentucky. It's time for the university to follow suit and take action by canceling classes on Wednesday January 30, 2019. With these temperatures, hypothermia can set in within just 15 minutes. Especially for the students who live on and around the Eastern Parkway area and walk to classes, the students who wait for the TARC busses to take them to and from campus wait for beyond 30 minutes for a bus.

Sign this petition to encourage university officials to cancel classes on Wednesday January 30th and shield us all from these extremely dangerous and Life-Threatening Arctic Blast weather conditions.
