Following the most recent (and uneventful) email from the College Hall Mangers office, I have sent our petition to them with alongside the below text. I hope we will be successful. Pending on further developments, we may need to consider more elaborate action...

The letter sent today:
Dear University of London Accommodation and Hospitality,
Thank you for your collective constant updates on this matter.
However, today I write to you on behalf of a large group of residents at College Hall. In the absence of any formal representative body, we have come together via various means of communication to pose this matter to you.
At the time of this writing 37 days have elapsed with no on-site access to laundry services provided by College Hall, which places us in our sixth week. To begin with, the initial period of two weeks was already exceedingly lengthy considering the nature of the task. Further, many of us struggle to grasp the fact that this could have been completed at a much more amenable time, namely over the winter holidays when many residents are likely to be away. Even better over the coming summer when most other major work is carried out. The timing of this complication could not have possibly been any worse.
Nevertheless, I can confirm that there is a strong notion of discontent with the handling of this situation, as I am sure you are very much aware. This siuation has only been exacerbated by each coming day. Hence, we write to you today to request that the free vend period for all washing/drying facilities be extended indefinitely. As we understand it, for the sake of clarity, this would extend till the end of the current contractual period on June 22nd, 2019. Whilst we appreciate the current offer up until the 31st of March, such compensation is now inadequate considering the third further extension of two weeks and running.
This determination has been supported by 95 residents of College Hall, at the time of writing, through a petition that was circulated at this link. I am sure those who are not aware of the petition would further support its cause as well. Though, it must be noted that many of my fellow residents feel that even such a measure would still fall short. At this time I digress on the matter, and simply hope that you can see where we come from with this movement.
To further our point, many of us relied on the representation posed by the University of London that there was to be on-site laundry services available throughout the contract period. This was a pivotal factor for many as going to a laundrette is incredibly time consuming as well as expensive, as we all now know too well. In fact, it was likely a substantial cause inducing the acceptance of contract for many at College Hall compared to elsewhere. There has been considerable time lost in travelling to, waiting at, and returning from our local laundrettes. Of which, the nearest does not even have machines from this century. Consequently, this has also resulted in a much poorer quality of washing and at a singificantly higher expense.
We had hoped that your most recently email today would inform us that this dilemma had finally come to an end. However, in considering the past six weeks, it seems inevitable we will find ourselves in a seventh week without such facilities.
We look forward to your response on this matter and hope for a positive outcome. At this time we feel this is a fair and neccessary request. We rest assured that you will view the matter as we do.
