The proposed closure of the Family Assessment and Support Unit (FASU) at the University of Hull will be detrimental to children and young people in Hull. Social work students there, supervised by qualified social workers, do vital work to ascertain and advocate for the voice of children, especially, those experiencing challenges and disadvantage. Having their voice heard is a child’s right and underpins their protection, self esteem and happiness.
