Adil Ur Rehman, when was running for President of the Students' Union as my opponent he questioned my two supporters with Indian descent (Aryman and Afaq) "why do you support a black woman, it is against the Gods and you will never be forgiven for this. Does she give you sex in return?"

I reported this on Thursday 15th March 2018 to the SU Elections team and the Equality Office carried out an investigation but haven't got back to me on the progress.

Adil was announced as President of the University of Hertfordshire Students' Union on Friday 16th and neither the Union nor the University got back to me with any statements on his allegations.

This incident claims the university is incompetent for failing to deal with campus racism effectively and I propose a review of racial policy and zero-tolerance position be put in place.
If the university is committed to diversity and ensuring the safety of the students of color, this review is urgently needed.

I firmly stand against Adil and his supporter’s sexist and racist comments. And I feel obliged to look for justice at all levels in this matter.
