University of Glasgow Compensation (Strike 2018)

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!

It has been a rough time for all parties in this strike, and students, especially international students who suffer the most.

We, the undersigned students of the University of Glasgow, demand compensation of 15% of your Tuition Fees for every paying student who suffers from the industrial action from 22nd of February to the 16th of Mach 2018, and we reserve our rights of demanding more if the strike keeps going.

It is a simple business relationship due to the ignorance of people who participate in the strike and the University itself. We are being treated unfairly at this point of time without any sort of solutions or compensation.

Therefore, we, students, as clients in this business relationship, deserve to have the right to ask for the compensation, and 15% is the minimum.

Mathematically speaking,

- 14+days of our education have been rapid by the University and UCU strikers

- 15% of the teaching time in an academic year, 22 weeks x 5 days = 110 days

- For international students who is taking PGT MANAGEMENT MSc: (15% x £20,150) = Approximately £3,000

(Fees might be various depends on program)

If the University of Glasgow is unwilling or unable to reimburse us for the service and education we are paying for, we would reserve the rights to seek additional legal help and diplomatic support from Consulate.

Indeed we feel terrible for those of you who are being damaged because of the pension, however, as students, clients, we are not paying for anything, at least not the strike and ongoing cancellation of lectures and tutorials.
