During the second week of class, I waited for 2 busses to pass before being able to squeeze on a Milledge bus to get home. Every student that relies on a Milledge bus has noticed the issue and complained about the new route; with the route running in one large circle, the route back to Milledge in the afternoon is too crowded and unsafe. Recently, a bus driver had to announce “EVERYONE STAND SIDEWAYS, SHOULDER TO SHOULDER, WITH BAGS ON THE GROUND SO WE CAN SQUEEZE AS MANY PEOPLE ON AS POSSIBLE.” This is ridiculous, and the University of Georgia needs to bring back the old Milledge Route that didn’t experience this issue, or instead add multiple more busses to the new route to mitigate the large crowds and packed busses. 

There's a second issue with the new route. Busses from Milledge to south campus also don’t start running until 7am, with the first bus arriving on Milledge around 7:40am. This new route that runs south on Milledge is Health Sciences, and it’s much more inconvenient than the original Milledge Route. For any students headed to south campus for an 8am class, getting the first bus at ~7:40am is not a reliable way to make it to class on time. With the old Route, busses were running well before 8am and this wasn’t an issue.

UGA Transportation - please bring back the old Milledge Route, or add more busses to the new route to mitigate the dangerous, packed busses that we now have to deal with.
