Trans* Exclusionary Radical Feminism (TERF) is a hate movement based on the idea that Trans* Women are not Women. It is a movement that has actively and passively supported the assault and harassment of Trans* Women for decades, as well as doing its utmost to deprive Trans* Women of live saving healthcare and bathroom facilities.

Julie Bindel, a TERF, (Who has been no platformed by the NUS LGBT Campaign before) has been invited to speak on Campus on the 15th of October. We don't believe any University that claims to be trying to create safer spaces for women can tolerate the presence of Trans* Exclusionary Radical Feminism on Campus, and we need to do our best to cancel this event.

In this regard we petition the University of Essex to cancel this event.
