Dear Concerned Citizens for Academic Freedom

In another BDS failure, the University of Cape Town (UCT) and the University of California, Berkeley, rebuked an attempt by BDS South Africa and the UCT Palestine Solidarity Forum to discriminate against and remove two researchers with Israeli academic connections at a conference this month at UCT. 

This latest failure is part of the antisemitic BDS movement’s consistent efforts to upend academic freedom at UCT. It is important to continue to be vigilant on this issue and ensure that UCT stands firmly against these ongoing attacks by BDS.
