Dear Academic Freedom Supporters

On Friday 10 May 2019, the UCT Executive will be reporting back to the Senate on the concerns expressed by the UCT Council regarding the proposed academic boycott of Israeli Institutions.

If UCT implements an academic boycott it risks severely damaging its reputation and credibility, losing significant financial support, and provoking counter-boycotts.
