Students are paying a fortune for parking permits every year and are not always able to find parking spaces on campus. So much time is spent looping around Law or Clyde carpark that a large majority of students end up missing their lectures, otherwise, they are so fed up with driving around that they end up leaving. The University of Canterbury website states that "The purchase of a permit does not guarantee the holder a parking space, it is simply a license to hunt" - this is NOT what students should have to do every day before a lecture, I am proposing that the University of Canterbury create more parking spaces for Students so that at least the majority of us can attend our classes.
