I'm still without a response from Universal Pictures, so I figure that the best way to move forward for now is to try get their attention on social media. From what I have seen on Twitter, members of the fandom are using the hashtag #ReleaseTheKiss in tweets aimed at Universal Pictures (@UniversalPics is the account that we're using as a point of contact for now.) Our aim by doing this is to tell Universal why the scene is so important to us, both as a fandom and as LGBT members. The idea for the hashtag came from the LezHangOut Podcast - the very same one that Shelley Regner spoke on a few days ago. We have a little traction now that we're over 1,000 signatures, but we're still not a large enough movement to be noticed by who needs to notice us.
