Stop making pennies.  They cost more to make than they are worth.  Using United States Mint figures, a penny cost 1.66 cents to make and we made over One Billion in 2014. 

     It is estimated that 2/3 of the people do not use them and some even throw them away.  Most people will not even pick one up from the floor or sidewalk.

    Canada and some other countries have already stop making their pennies.  Everything is rounded up or down to the nearest nickel.

     For the folks that still want them, let the mint take orders each year and those folks can collect them, of course the costs should be more than the penny.
