My Evidence Based Outline 1 -7 1. My partial list of concerns in the current and future contamination sites are in the immediate areas of the Price Canyon Road Oil Field/ Phillips 66 Refinery, Dana Adobe, Mesa, Nipomo, Edna Valley, All City/County Parks and Fields, Pismo Creek, 5 Cities Water Sources, San Luis Obispo County Farms, Vineyards and City limits, Shell Beach, Pismo Beach, Monarch Butterfly Grove, City Sewage Treatment Plants, Waste Management, Lopez Lake, Santa Maria Groundwater, State Water and the Federal Protection of the Pacific Ocean and etc. 2. I present this online of contamination concerns and other issues that "have" and "will continue" to go wrong with Hydraulic Fracking in San Luis Obispo County. 3. (1 -14) 1) Contamination of drinking water by methane, benzene, arsenic and over 500 other hazardous chemicals. 2) A) Erosion of soil from drilling and runoff. B) The Pismo Creek Bridge is crumbing to pieces. (major lawsuit waiting to happen) 3) Flow-back water contaminated by radioactive deposits underground. 4) Contamination of the air from frack ponds, compressor pumps, truck exhausts, generators. 5) Contamination of the soil from flow-back water and it's chemicals. 6) A) Waste of thousands of millions of freshwater to frack. B) There is a "current drought" in California. C) Also the City Sewage Plant wants to recycle the water for the 5 cities area for the cities drinking water source. (gross) D) Pismo Beach/5 Cities, Wastewater Treatment Center has a history of being out of compliance's. E) The Price Canyon Road Oil Field has a history of being out of compliances. F) There has "NOT" been a comprehensive environmental review from the EPA at the Price Canyon Oil Field in decades. G) Surprise visits to the Price Canyon Oil Field had not been honored by the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board in years. (if you don't investigate, you will never know if their is a problems or not) 7) No large scale methods of safe disposal of fracking flow-back. 8) Scarring of the land by drilling rigs, multiple horizontal shafts, and all the pipelines. 9) Leaks and spills are polluting our natural water systems and aquifers. 10) Non-disclosure of chemicals in the frack water. (Halliburton loophole is a dangerous way to do business, it does not protect the health and safety of the public and wildlife) 11) Lax enforcement of existing state laws & few national guidelines on fracking. 12) Many states view fracking only for the economic benefits (jobs & profits) NOT for any environmental impacts. Profits before people, not smart or wise. 13) A) Medical doctors and Researchers don't know what to "test for" when people get sick near fracking sites - drillers. B) Also gag order are placed on MD's, Hospitals, Labs, and Researchers so they can't expose what the chemicals are, that are making people sick and what these poor folks are dying from. 14) Environmental Racist is alive and strong in San Luis Obispo County, a major class act/ mass- lawsuit is coming down the pipeline. 4.There is more MD's joining environment groups on making the connection of oil spills and air pollution problems and have nailed it on these Gas/Oil Companies. Major lawsuits happening all over the Country. 5.The most horrifying is that "Gag Orders are placed on residents, when their land and water is poisoned, can you image your water is poisoned and you can't tell your neighbor to check their water, land and health. Mafia style court contracts are unbelievable and should be a crime. 6. Overall it appears that our government has left the fox guarding the hen house, because oil companies are now police themselves. Our people, plants, animals, air, and waterways have been left unguarded by the state and national regulatory and monitoring agencies. 7. In my opinion it's a national disgrace, when peoples lives on the line for profits.
