Safety issues must be transparent to the public and workers at Price Canyon Oil Field. We need to focus on every aspect of our community and to see each other as a single cohesive unit, rather that a billion individuals alone parts. Where only a chosen few voices matters, we all matter. When one neighbor helps another, we strengthen the whole community. We are more then consumers, we are all citizens and we are all human beings that deserve clean and safe water to drink and a frack - free community and land is our goal and right. 1. Regulators have found contaminated well-water at the sites near the Price Canyon Road Oil Field. 2. There is a current threat to drinking water, wildlife health in the Pismo Creek wetland. 3. There is a significant issue of harming human health and animals for many years. 4. The EWG and Water Board found high levels of benzene and other volatile organic compounds in water wells. 5. The EWG and Water Board described the contaminant levels discovered at the south site neighborhood as roughly higher than the safe amount for human and animal populations. 6. The wetland ecosystem includes various amphibians and insects. 7. Beach access at Pismo Beach — a popular water-sports access spot is 2 miles from the Price Canyon Oil Field. 8. Five Cities wastewater system is near Price Canyon Oil Field. 9. The wastewater system in many cities in San Luis Obispo County not been repaired/replaced in over 63 years. The 5 cities wastewater has not been restored and repaired in fact it not fully functional. 10. A sheen of oil leaked NEAR the oil field Water Basin, Pismo Creek and Ocean and throughout the wastewater system. The exact amount is unknown. 11. Water wells samples showed significant contamination from the spills, cracks or leaks from the Price Canyon Oil Field and Phillips 66 Refinery. 12. The public is not aware of how many extraction wells and monitoring wells are on the site of Price Canyon Oil Field and Phillips 66 Refinery. And we ask what is the petroleum levels and other compounds levels are to day and the last 20 years. 13. Does the Union Pacific Railroad on the property/near the Price Canyon Oil Field have a underground system/ground water flow direction that will treat the contamination from spills, cracks and leaks. If not, do they plan to do so, in the near future. 14. Does the Price Canyon Oil Field and Phillips 66 Refinery have The “biosparge” system that will include vertical pipes where air will be injected into the ground water. That oxygen will spur growth of naturally occurring microbes that will break down the oil. 15. Local conservation/environmental groups raised concerns about Price Canyon, Phillips 66 Refinery and the Union Pacific's role in the high pollutant levels. 16. The community believes that "advanced treatment technology" should be mandated in this County for wastewater management. 17. It’s very concerning that we have such high levels of toxic pollutants/chemicals so close to residents/business's water wells, tap water, pismo creek, ocean, wineries, and 5 cities waste water management. 18. We asserted that the public needs to hold state/federal officials accountable. 19. We demand a full comprehensive evaluation at Price Canyon Oil Field and Phillips 66 refinery from an independent source and ask for the immediate analyst results and safeguards for public view. 20. A) We demand release of gag orders on residents and doctors that are treating their patients from oil/gas and water contamination illness in SLO County and Santa Barbara County physicians namely, Any Cancer Center, lab results and etc. B) Every patient has a right to know what is making them sick and in some cases WHAT are they dying from and why!!! 21. Our goal is protect San Luis Obispo County water and prohibition of any new oil wells, fracking, and deny the underground pipeline project to Phillips 66 Refinery in Nipomo, Ca.
