Oshkosh wins USPS contract. What this means and is it over?

Recently the USPS PMG announced the next generation delivery vehicles would be make by Oshkosh at a hearing on Wednesday. The vehicles are internal combustion with the ability to be converted to ev. When asked about the mpg these trucks would have, he said he didn’t know. Why? Bc the vehicle that was selected was not the same that was submitted. It does not exist and is only a rendering. It did not go through any of the testing the prototypes endured. This decision also directly opposes the Presidents executive order instructing all government fleets to become 100% 0 emissions. When Post Master DeJoy was asked how many vehicles would be electric, he answered 10%. Oshkosh is to be given some 500 million to tool and produce this vehicle. This came as a huge surprise to many as Workhorse has a working, already in production, fully electric 0 emissions option. They received 0% of the contract that would have created jobs, moved our country into the right direction in terms of cutting our emissions, and saving the USPS, as well as the taxpayers, billions over the years. Recent events however suggest that this contract is not set in stone. Backlash lead by members of congress over the failure to help lead the US into the green revolution, instead regressing into more gas powered delivery vehicles. Workhorse has requested additional information from the USPS procurement decision. With pressure from the president and congress, PMG DeJoy is under scrutiny for going against the presidents orders for 0 emission and a push to give government contracts to worthy, smaller companies. Oshkosh is a military contractor that does not have any history in electric vehicle making. Workhorse (www.workhorse.com has been in operation since 2007.
