They Allocated $25 Billion to the States, but rents are over $70 billion in the arrears.

Well, there is something on the horizon. According to and article by CNBC they are giving the $25 billion to the states to allocate to the tenants. The states should have the money by Jan 20th, 2021.
Everyone, the time is now. The article goes on to say this money is not enough. Rental payments are backed up close to $70 billion. So the $25 billion is a start.
Why won't they just allocate some money to go directly to the landlords? If the landlords are getting the money anyway, just give it to them.
