Others may like that Donald Trump is taking ‘Aza, Israel from one occupier (the “Palestinians”) and giving it to another (himself). Others may like that Elon Musk is permitted to endanger U.S. citizens both within and outside United States borders. Others may like that the United States House of Representatives is disregarding the United States Constitution. I don’t like Antisemitism, endangerment of United States citizens, or lawlessness. If you sign or already signed this petition, I assume (or at least hope) that you also despise bigotries such as Antisemitism (whether you’re Jewish like me or gentile).
I assume that you’re also empathetic regarding fellow Americans, concerned about your and other Americans‘ well being, and “life, liberty, and…happiness”—which the U.S.’ founders codified with the U.S. Constitution. Whatever you think of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and the events surrounding it, there is no question that the U.S. has done much good in its almost-249-year history.
Conversely, Donald Trump is representative of what bad the U.S. has done in its history—and Americans cannot let the reversal of what good 12-13 generations of Americans have done be permanent. The election of Donald Trump was a mix of mistakenness and maliciousness, and even Americans who did vote for Donald Trump (which I did not*) can petition Congress to stop the track of bigotry, sociopathy, and lawlessness in which the United States currently heads to its own and others’ deaths and destructions.
*I wrote in Asa Hutchinson. As a United States citizen, I do not pledge loyalty to any political candidate or want American political candidates to pledge loyalty to anyone but the American people in general.
