Insecurity has plagued Nigeria unrelentingly since the 1980s. Indeed, it was the excuse Buhari gave for his 1983 coup. Nigerians face 2 threats to their existence: everyday street-level crimes and large scale insecurity. Nigel farage became a millionaire overnight when a billionaire friend gave him £5 million. He did absolutely nothing for that money other than being the leader of the Reform Party. The Transatlantic Slavery was a matter of politics until 25 May 2026 when adoption of the UNGA slavery resolution (A/RES/80/250) turned it into a matter of law. YPUK will remind those who say slavery reparation is unjust that descendants of slavers inherited wealth, capital and societal advantages generated by unpaid slave labour. Britain invested wealth generated from unpaid slave labour in the Crown, church, educational institutions, factories, land, banks and insurance companies, which passed down generations. By the 1833 Slavery Abolition Act, Britain gave its slavers £30 million compensation for loss of their ‘human property’ and forced the slaves to pay slavers additional £40 million in unpaid work through the so-called ‘apprenticeship scheme’. The UK is a constitutional monarchy meaning that the Crown is a branch of the British government. Indeed, it is an independent branch of government, the same as the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary. The Crown has an inherent legislative role, called the prerogative, and an external affairs role as defined for example in the Foreign Jurisdiction Act 1890. For better or worse, Elisabeth I played a direct role in the Transatlantic Slavery whilst Victoria built the British Colonial Empire. YPUK says the natural progression should be development of the Commonwealth (56 countries, 2.7 billion people). Sadly, today’s monarchy are navel-gazers. King Charles and Prince William are too lazy to do anything meaningful other than play celebrity collectors of state benefits. They exiled Prince Harry, the only one amongst them willing to work. Only 18% of White British children achieved 5 or more GCSEs compared with Chinese 75%, Bangladeshi and Indian 50%, Black African 45%, Pakistani 37%, and Black Caribbean 23%. Rather than advise that White British children emulate theirr Chinese contemporaries, the British ostrich-heads blame the government. YPUK believes the problem is attitudinal or behavioural, however. First, political leaders turned ‘working class’ into ‘stay-at-home class’ by closing down coal mines, steel mills, and heavy manufacturing industries, with no vision for the future. Hitherto ambitious parents became ‘no prospect’ parents who saw education as no substitute. Second, political leaders turned immigrants into objects of hate, for people not to emulate. As a result, White parents became enablers of anti-school attitude. YPUK proposes the following behavioural approach for poor academic attainment: pupils to have pen friends across the globe, school visits to be made to countries outside of Europe that prioritise education; parents to have mass media campaign extolling the virtues of education, Community Penalty Charge Notice to any adult obstructing their child’s education. Over a period of 400 years, the Transatlantic Slavery relentlessly and systematically destroyed the natural development that was taking place in Yorubaland. The pre-slavery Yoruba practiced scientific medicine based on the principles of disease causation by physical agents, the Igbere transdermal application of medicines, and immunity achieved by the means of vaccination. They described the world as round like a calabash when scientific brains elsewhere claimed the world was flat. They perfected smelting and forging of iron to make utensils and tools, and the ‘lost wax’ technique, which they used to make intricate and realistic life-like sculptures. Yoruba mathematics featured a vigesimal (base-20) system of counting and the Ifa (base-2) computing system. The then Yoruba architecture consisted of a circular terrace, drained through an elaborate system constructed of fragments of pottery laid onto packed clay (potsherd pavement).
