Continuing with Nigeria unfairly punishes Nigerians.

Coalition of Northern states and Conference of Speakers both recently confirmed that Nigeria’s failure was manifested long ago. A toxic mix of poverty, corruption, ineffective governance, crime, violence, forced displacements and sectarian and ethnic conflicts was apparent, they say. In a letter to Mrs Thatcher, the British Prime minister, dated 6 January 1984, President Buhari, then an army General, cited the aforesaid problems as his reasons for carrying out a coup against the civilian government of the day.
It was self-evident from the very beginning of self-rule that Nigeria was simply too large and too diverse to be successfully managed as a unitary entity. That reality must now be acknowledged by all. Fortunately, Nigeria can be cleaved along ethnic boundaries that are well defined and uncontested. It is to this end that we ask you to sign, support, donate, spread and share our campaign for self-determination for the Yoruba people of Nigeria.
