It’s very encouraging to see we’re getting closer to the 200 signature mark! We have the attention of the USD school board now, so please reach out directly to Superintendent Denise Coleman (colemand@unionsd.org). The more the board hears directly from us, the better chance we have of actually making positive change 

Suggestions on points to bring up:

• Once we’re off the state’s monitoring list, what are the exact steps of execution for the phased approach? What metrics will USD observe to determine to go from one phase to the next?
• Pressure the board to come up with a solid plan for families with special needs children as well as essential workers that would include an in-person option at the start of the year.
